You could receive a 30% up to $1500 Tax Credit for High
Efficient Heating and Air Conditioning. Furnaces vary; but most 95% AFUE
(gas efficiency) qualify; notable exception larger BTU's do not qualify.
NOTEWORTHY: Most air conditioning does not qualify by
itself. The blower motor of the furnace drives the real efficiency of air
conditioning. And always the efficiency ratings are determined by a third
party that the government recognize and all manufacturer's use. Consumer
beware: equipment must be rated and listed by the AHRI (American Heating
and Refrigeration Institute).
